University of Western Australia Surgical Society
UWASS aims to foster lasting connections between students and the greater surgical community of Perth and the nation at large. Through these links we aim to provide avenues for students to find mentoring opportunities, surgical research projects and elective options.
WA Society for Students Interested in Specialty Training
WASSIST supports WA medical students interested in specialising as Physicians. It provides extracurricular educational opportunities, including opportunities for students to interact closely with medical experts in their fields of interest.
General Practice Students’ Network
GPSN is part of a national student initiative which promotes General Practice as a career, as well as fostering an appreciation and understanding of primary healthcare.
Emergency Medicine Interest Group
EMIG is a student-run organisation which aims to promote emergency medicine to UWA students through workshops and lectures.
WA Medical Students’ Orchestra
WAMSO seeks to combine the passion of music and medicine into one. It is a group of extremely talented individuals that hold six-monthly sold-out concerts to fundraise for their chosen charity.
