WAMSS Connect is excited to present our first-ever Clinical Skills Workshop of 2026! We’re collaborating with the UWA Surgical Society and Emergency Medicine Interest Group to bring you hands-on experience of essential clinical skills in a relaxed and fun environment.
Who can attend?
Our event is open to everyone, but undergraduate students on an assured pathway to medicine will find it particularly useful.

🎟️ Ticket: $5 for WAMSS Connect members, $10 for non-members
Tickets will be released on Friday 24th April at 5pm AWST.

Throughout the afternoon, you’ll be part of a group rotating through a set of workshops designed to give you practical experience in key areas:
🪡 Suturing: Learn how to suture on pig trotters!
🩺 Auscultation: Practice listening to each other’s hearts and lungs.
🔨 Reflex testing: Get familiar with eliciting reflexes and understand its role in neurological examinations.
⚠️ Safety requirements:
Closed-in shoes must be worn due to the use of sharp equipment.
