-- Rate your Community MD: Owen McWilliam

You gotta love people with too much time on their hands. A bunch of people started a website called Rate MDs, where people can review an MD (or GP) in their local community and share their reviews and recommendations with fellow perusers of the website. To spite them, our very own Owen McWilliam created his own profile as Owen McWilliam MB and has already received some very rewarding and amusing ratings from people.

Back in 2007, based on the lovable character featured in a previous WAMSS flux, a profile was also created for Tappy C Monroe. His speciality is cutting up fatty-boombaladas and he has been very successful since 2007 with a much higher rating that other bariatric surgeons listed.

- Vent of the Week:

Perth's taxi situation is ridiculous. We waited over 50 minutes last night at about midnight after having each been told that a taxi was on its way. When we finally got a taxi (and not any of the taxis we ordered) we told the cabbie about this and he said that that was disgraceful. He said that when the cab firms say that there are no taxis, they're full of s#@t. There are plenty of taxis in Perth to cater for demand. Some cabbies are just lazy and irresponsible.

Upcoming/current events:

Oct 30: WAMSS Well-being 1Hr Exercise Boot Camp, 5.15pm at Swanbourne Surf Club for anyone who wants a quick exercise and study break.
