For eleven years now, medical students have been raising money for charity in the name of Lookout! - the charity wing of WAMSS. Lookout! runs two major events throughout the year:
- Scrubber Day - carwash of epic proportion at Sir Charles Gairdner Hospital
- Bedpush - from Charlies to the Royale, medical students push a hospital bed for the cause
In 2006, Lookout! rose over $15,000 which was donated to Heart Kids WA and Kids Cancer Support Group. So far in 2007, we've raised over $7000 from Bedpush for Indigenous children ear health screening programmes at Derbarl Yerrigan Health Service. We also raised at $495 at Allied Health for Rocky Bay.
We hope to continue the good work of WAMSS by also expanding the program to include community service initiatives. For more information on Lookout!, please contact the
