lincs_logo.jpgThe Local and International Needs Contribution Scheme (LINCS) is a not-for-profit organization run by volunteer medical students as part of the Western Australian Medical Student Society (WAMSS) at the University of Western Australia.
We live in an age of global connectedness that makes us aware of local and global inequity and empowers us to improve it.  Social conscience is a quality shared by all community members and a passion for improving the lives of others is what drives many aspiring young doctors to their profession.  LINCS is a simple way to link our community with international communities and provides tangible evidence for how much can be achieved by small contributions from conscious people.

LINCS raises funds through sponsorship and events to purchase much needed medical supplies for underprivileged third world communities which will be personally delivered by 5th year medical students undergoing their electives there.

Big Things

In 2008, LINCS has launched a new campaign “Small businesses doing big things”.
The aim is to raise funds to enable 5th year medical students to take requested essential medical supplies with them on their electives to hospitals and communities in the third world. We are delighted to announce MILKD CAFE is a proud supporter of our mission in 2008.

LINCS wants you to get involved!
Join students, small businesses and the local community by raising funds for a worthy cause.
