Western Australian Medical Student Society

The Western Australian Medical Student Society (WAMSS) is the peak student representative body for medical students of Western Australia. Members and representatives of WAMSS sit on a number of committees and councils including at a University of Western Australia level, at a Australian Medical Association WA level, and at the level of the Western Australian Health Department. Australian Medical Student Association

The Australian Medical Student Association (AMSA) is the peak student representative body for medical students of Australia. It represent medical students at the level of Federal Parliament and assists state and local student societies in their advocacy work. Interhealth

Interhealth is the global health branch of the Western Australian Medical Student Society. It advocates through WAMSS and AMSA on issues of global health significance. You can learn more about their advocacy work through the Interhealth website, located here.



Students Passionate About Mental Health

Students Passionate About Mental Health (SPAMH) is WAMSS's mental health interest group. SPAMH holds many events thoughtout the year to promote awareness of mental health, educate students and the community on aspects of mental health and how to seek help. SPAMH also works to develop close links with other community mental health organisations and each year holds its flagship Q&A event. You can learn more about SPAMH here.
